Powerlifting State Results:
Our 3 Riders competed hard today and when challenged they responded with confidence in their abilities. Shane Russell got a new max bench at 265 and ended up 12th in his weight class. “Shane had some big totals in his weight class but that didn’t scare him away from making swings at it all day”. Michael Ortiz got new maxes on all three but his deadlift was the biggest jump where he got 375 which was one of the top deadlifts in his weight class. Michael started the day at 15th and moved up to 12th. “As a first year lifter Michael made great jumps on his total today and got a taste of what the state meet is like.” Noah Clark competed all day and it came down to the final deadlift but he fell a little short on his total. Noah finished as State Runner-Up in the 132 pound weight class. “Noah competed and when challenged he didn’t back down, instead he attempted something he never has before 390 on deadlift and came inches away from being #1.”
